An Episcopal church in Pennsylvania was burglarized Monday night, and a woman has been arrested in connection with the crime, police said.
The St. Joseph Parish in Altoona, Pennsylvania, was burgled about 6:45 p.m.
Monday, the Altoona Police Department said in a statement.
The church was vacant at the time, but the door was unlocked, and the suspect entered the building and was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass, police added.
The suspect has been identified as 43-year-old Stephanie A. Lott.
A police news release did not provide further details.
Police say the suspect is an active church member who is in the process of transitioning to a different life and has not been located.
