Duralast, a leading provider of battery-storage solutions, announced Tuesday that it had completed the first-ever battery-backed commercial rollout of the company’s Duralar 5 battery-based smart phone.
The phone, which is the companys latest device in the company s battery-powered range, will be sold through a partnership with Durala, a Chinese e-commerce company.
The battery-supported phone has a battery life of more than two years on a single charge.
Duralas battery-controlled smart phone has two years of battery life.
Dralast is the world’s largest battery manufacturer, with a presence in more than 200 countries.
In 2016, it became the first battery-free mobile phone company in the U.S. and became the second in the globe to introduce a battery-driven phone.
Drialast, which started in 2015, also announced that it is developing its first battery battery-operated device, a smart TV that can be controlled by a user’s smartphone.
The company said it expects the first Duralak 5 battery phone to go on sale in 2020.
